Los Angeles Urban League
The Los Angeles Urban League Entrepreneurship Center helps established minority entrepreneurs obtain the necessary management skills that will enable them to take advantage of new business opportunities and qualify for financing that will lead to higher levels of business growth.
The Los Angeles Urban League Entrepreneurship Center works with private, public and nonprofit resources to build strong, sustainable and successful minority businesses.
Business Coaching and Mentors
One-on-one mentor sessions provide the client with business support and guidance. The Los Angeles Urban League Entrepreneurship Center staff assesses the situation and helps the client determine what their next steps should be and guiding them to resources and opportunities to develop new skills or enhance existing ones.
Sessions are designed to assist established businesses that are ready to take their business to the next level. The Los Angeles Urban League Entrepreneurship Center provides numerous workshops throughout the year: 8-week Business Plan Writing – on campus and web-based interactive workshops.
Global Entrepreneurship Week
An annual conference in collaboration with the community partners providing an environment for businesses in the Los Angeles to identify procurement opportunities and relationships that benefit their business.
Biz Institute Youth Entrepreneurship Summer Camp
Biz Institute changes youth perspective on the importance of education while providing them skills and knowledge to be their own boss. This training is based on the NFTE (Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship) a curriculum that includes field trips, guest speakers and activities that lead to a completed business plan and National Business Plan Competition.
