Blair Hamilton Taylor is the President and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League, a position he has held since 2005. The League is an affiliate of one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations with offices in more than 100 cities.  With a staff of over 300 and a budget in excess of $25 million, the 88-year-old Los Angeles Urban League is one of America’s largest civil rights entities.

 

Trevor Ware

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Trevor Ware serves the Los Angeles Urban League as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Ware oversees the operation of LA Urban League's 4 publically funded WorkSource Centers; the operation of the League's 30 Head Start and State Preschool and associated facilities; and the management of the League's Information Technology function. Mr. Ware is responsible for all program related contracts including facility purchases and leases. Under Mr. Ware's leadership, policies and practices governing the LA Urban League and its employees are established and maintained. Mr. Ware serves as a member of the League's Executive Team supporting and reporting directly to League President, Blair Taylor.

L. C. “Chris” Strudwick-Turner joined the Los Angeles Urban League in March 2006 as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Strudwick-Turner is responsible for all marketing, communications and public relations as well as development. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, she plays a pivotal role in the creation and implementation of the League’s strategic planning and organizational marketing/PR plans.

Charles A. Boyd serves as the Deputy Neighborhood Officer – Safety and Housing for the Los Angeles Urban League with responsibilities for implementing elements of the Los Angeles Urban League’s strategic plan and Neighborhood Initiative in the Park Mesa Heights community in Los Angeles, California.

Kuliema Blueford

Kuliema Blueford, a native of Altadena, California, has over 15 years experience in various facets of Workforce Development. Passionate about empowerment, creating opportunities and leveling the playing field for the under privileged; her 15 year career with The Los Angeles Urban League (LAUL) began in the LAUL’s Pasadena Foothill Branch as an Instructor’s Assistant. Kuliema instantly felt she had found her calling; rapidly mastering her position and offering contributions in any way she was needed.

Carlene Davis

Carlene A. Davis is a Deputy Neighborhood Officer for the Los Angeles Urban League (LAUL). In this role, Ms. Davis is the Education lead for the Los Angeles Urban League’s multi-disciplinary Crenshaw-Hyde Park Neighborhood Initiative. Her responsibilities include developing and maintaining key partnerships to support the educational component of the Neighborhood Initiative; facilitating and engaging an inclusive and participatory stakeholder reform effort; and advocating for public policy and systems change.

D'Ann Morris

D'Ann Morris
Deputy Neighborhood Officer - Health

D’Ann Marie Morris, a native of Los Angeles, California, has over twenty-five years of senior management executive experience. Her background includes business administration, program and financial development and strategic planning. She has a proven track record in turning around marginal organizations. Known in local communities for her innovative approach to problem solving, Ms. Morris is unequivocally committed to the positive development of young people, families, and communities. Ms. Morris is also well-regarded for her decision-making and leadership skills in the areas of youth leadership development; community development; program implementation; medical and social services agency administration; and community and volunteer services. Her work has been featured in several newspapers, newscasts, and talk radio productions.
