The Los Angeles Urban League is seeking to expand the number of sources of annual general operating support and to maximize the corporate support received each year. The League is aggressively seeking new sources of general operating contributions among corporations, corporate foundations and private foundations. The League is also seeking to expand the level of individual giving the organization receives and to significantly increase membership.

The League covers its core operations through contributions for general operating support and unrestricted grants. The League’s signature events provide the largest source of general operating support each year, including the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Dinner and the Jim Hill Celebrity Golf Classic. This support funds the organizations’ infrastructure, facilities, operations, finance, auditing of financial accounts, fundraising operations, technology and information management, marketing costs, benefits for employees and other operating costs.

Planned Giving

Make a planned gift to the Urban League by incorporating the Urban League into your Estate and Financial plans and you will be helping the nation’s oldest and largest community-based organization continue to empower African Americans to enter the social and economic mainstream.
