Bonnie Thomas-Jeter

Executive Assistant

Bonnie Thomas-Jeter is a civil servant with a passion for economic justice. This transplant Angeleno has served four administrations of the Los Angeles Urban League, from John Mack to current CEO, Cynthia Heard, over the past 33 years.

As Executive Administrator, Bonnie has been exemplary in engaging community, political, and corporate partners, while upholding the bylaws of the organization. She has been the lead staff of the Entrepreneurship Center, and the BizCamp youth program. Bonnie acted as the appointed liaison to the Affiliate’s auxiliary, the LAUL Guild, for more than 10 years.

Answering the call of many roles, she has worked with the past three national Presidents and Chief Executive Officers and most affiliates across the nation to uplift transformative programs. These rich experiences now inspire the young Los Angeles Urban League staff and Young Professionals Auxiliary group, to “sit at her feet”, ask questions and guidance in the ways of the Urban League movement.

Bonnie attended HBCU Alcorn State University and began her career in health care and finance fields before finding the League. She continues her marathon race of service to the community, while also enjoying a mastery of crochet arts, and her commitment to family, including her cherished grandchildren.
