DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Whitney M. Young\, Jr. Annual Awards Dinner ‘A Century of Service’ on June 30\, 2022!  \nThis year’s honoree is Reverand James M. Lawson one of the Civil Rights Movement’s leading activists\, theoreticians\, and tacticians of nonviolence within the movement. He worked directly with Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. to train students and volunteers in nonviolent direct action and helped coordinate the Nashville lunch counter sit-ins in 1960. He went on to lead multiple historic protests and continues to serve as a role model and inspiration for Civil Rights advocacy. \nThe evening will be hosted by Chris Schauble of KTLA with musical entertainment by the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles. \n‘A Century of Service’ will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. \n5:30PM – Red Carpet & Cocktail Reception \n6:30PM – Dinner & Program \nSingle Ticket pricing (limited availability) and sponsorship packages start at $1500.
