Justin Monk

Program Assistant

Justin Monk is a passionate newcomer to the Los Angeles Urban League’s robust Programs team. He brings a strong foundation in customer service, advocacy and leadership. Growing up in Orange County California with family members throughout Los Angeles County, Justin developed a deep understanding of the disparities that exist across communities and across different regions of Southern California. As a young leader he is committed to making a positive impact and keeping younger adults plugged in to the programs and opportunities offered by the Los Angeles Urban League, along with the influence they hold in affecting change in underserved communities.

Before joining the League, Justin gained experience in customer service and the nonprofit sector. He also completed a brief internship with the NFL Network. Justin remains poised to build on this background and dedicate his work to advancing the Los Angeles Urban League’s mission and values.

He is a big Lakers and Dodgers fan, and is usually the first person to greet attendees at LA Urban League events, with his warm smile.
